Built concurrently with the renovation of the Masonic Temple into the Temple for Performing Arts, Centro is the major restaurant in the development and has become a Des Moines icon for late night dining.

Amenities include street-side dining, wood-burning fire grille and full bar, the restaurant sits besides South Union Bakery and work as sister facilities during the lunch hour. Centro seats 180 while South Union seats 60.
